South Florida Restaurants Hurt By Shortages

Many restaurants are struggling, as the demand is there, but they lack sufficient staff members and supplies to meet it.

Many restaurants, are hopeful for more employees but need lower supply costs to keep customers coming back. With unemployment benefits ending, owners hope that will be a factor in bringing them more potential employees.

Food service employment dropped dramatically last month nationally, with more than 40,000 employees.

The restaurant industry suffered at the hand of the global crisis, and the failure of the restaurant business has some restaurants unable to recover from the losses.
