Mississippi Pushes Past 15,000 Coronavirus Cases

It was only Wednesday that Mississippi pushed above 14,000 coronavirus cases. And here it is Saturday and we've hit another milestone that we had hoped we would never reach. The State Health Department reported 439 new cases raising the total count well above 15,000. Eight counties have more than 500 cases, led by Hinds County which is on the brink of its own unwanted milestone at 999 cases. The county with the next-most cases is Lauderdale, followed by Madison, Scott, Neshoba, Jones, Forrest and DeSoto.
