Gov. Reeves said today that Mississippi will honor the people who are peacefully protesting the death of George Floyd and police brutality in general. But he said the state won't allow agitators and antagonists to move in to cause damage and loot stores. The governor said the violence in other parts of the country is drowning out the meaningful conversation that the protests are generating. Reeves said he doesn't think we'll see riots in Mississippi but said the state is prepared for the possibility. He said Mississippi won't stand back and let it happen-- it'll "lean in". And he said the people who attempt to incite riots "won't like the result".
