Tech billionaire Elon Musk slammed Trump's "big beautiful bill," calling it a "disgusting abomination" just days after his official White House send-off as head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

On Tuesday (June 3), Musk took to X, formerly Twitter, to express his grievances with the massive Republican bill passed in the House last month.

"I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore," Musk wrote. "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."

"It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden American citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt," he added.

The bill, now in the hands of the Senate, would extend Trump's tax cuts, eliminate tax on tips and overtime, and boost funding for immigration enforcement and the military. The measure would also make cuts to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Tax cuts and spending hikes for Trump's agenda would outweigh the savings, increasing the deficit by $2.3 trillion, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

On Tuesday, Musk called for the termination of "all politicians who betrayed the American people" by supporting the bill.

The Tesla CEO has previously stated that the "massive" spending bill "undermines" his work under DOGE. Musk was given an official send-off from his stint as head of the agency last week.

“We obviously respect everything that Elon did with DOGE. On this particular issue, we have a difference of opinion,” Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D. said in a statement. “He’s entitled to that opinion, but we’re going to proceed full speed ahead.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., added that it was "dangerous" for Musk to be “meddling with” the economy.

"This is the key to the economic resurgence of America. It’s going to be jet fuel for the economy. And the sooner we do it, the better," Johnson said. "And by the way, the debt ceiling is also revved into this legislation. That is a dangerous thing for Elon or anyone who has who cares about the US economy to be meddling with. And I think the risk is very great.”

Following Musk's comments, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement: “Look, the president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill. It doesn’t change the president’s opinion. This is one big beautiful bill, and he’s sticking to it.”
