Doja Cat's “Paint the Town Red” is back at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100!

Doja Cat ended the longest drought for a rap song to top the charts in over two decades. Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” was the last rap song to top the Hot 100 in August last year, making it a 54-week gap.

“Paint The Town Red” also gave Doja Cat her second #1, after 2020’s “Say So” featuring Nicki Minaj. Doja Cat is now on the list of female rappers to have multiple Number Ones, joining Megan Thee Stallion (2), Nicki Minaj (3), and Cardi B (5).

“SCARLET 9.22,” Doja wrote in the caption.

The video for “Demons” stars Christina Ricci, as a owner of a new house which is haunted by a demon played by Doja Cat! D.A. Got That Dope-produced the track which is the third single following “Attention” and “Paint the Town Red,” which hit the Billboard Hot 100.

Doja Cat took to Twitter, to say,

“no more pop,” she tweeted. “i also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. “I know they are. I wasn't trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that i can’t so I will.”

Doja Cat's upcoming, fourth album "Hellmouth" has been revealed to taking a “more masculine direction” after 2021’s Planet Her.

“I know that I’ve done a lot of pink and soft things, a lot of pop and glittery sounds,” she said. “But for this next era, I’m going in a more masculine direction.”

She has yet to share a release date, but Doja did share,

“If you wanted a teaser into what I’ve been thinking about, that’s what I’ve been on a lot. And just to make it clear, Beastie Boys is a huge inspiration to me. Beastie Boys will hit you with hard, loud and crazy rap, but they’ll also hit you with real raw ‘90s punk, which I love, or smooth techno that feels sexy and sleek. And you’ll be like, ‘Where the fuck did this come from?’”

Doja Cat showcased her fearlessness when she showed up at Paris Fashion Week in an eye-catching, all-red ensemble. The bold look included a strapless Haute Couture dress and beaded skirt, as well as dangling earrings, wrap and knee-high heeled boots. What really made the outfit stand out was the body paint and 30,000 Swarovski crystals that covered the "Woman" rapper's body, inspired by Dante's Inferno. The stunning transformation was created by makeup artist Pat McGrath, who spent almost five hours meticulously applying the red paint and rhinestones to Doja's face and body. This look proves that Doja Cat is not afraid to take risks and push the boundaries of fashion.
