THREE MEN HAVE been found guilty of murdering XXXTentacion.
Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Trayvon Newsome were all found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery, after seven days of deliberation.
The trial began nearly five years after XXXTentacion, was shot and killed at the age of 20. Lead prosecutor Pascale Achille argued that X was killed in a robbery gone wrong and built the case around surveillance footage, cellphone data, as well as social media posts. The most important testimony was of Robert Allen, a fourth suspect who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm.
Allen testified that he and the other suspects wound up at the motorcycle shop and the on-the-spot decision to target X. Allen testified that Williams convinced the group to rob X, and Boatwright shot him. Allen did not to take part in the robbery, but he still got a cut of $5,000.
