Coral Gable officials are asking for residents to keep an extra eye out and use slight bit of common sense now more than ever. Reports have been circulating that scammers are still out and on the prowl. Most recently authorities apprehended a man in Miami after a series of car thefts and fraud were being reported. A woman says that a man posed as an employer seeking to hire drivers and said he could get her a deal on a car only to find out that the man was a fraud and she was out thousands of dollars. Authorities say, that scammers also find ways to scam by answering online ads for example- someone was selling a car and a man showed interest and asked for a test drive, somehow the initial seller of the car was talked out of getting out, thus allowing the fraud to drive off. Experts give some advice on how to be a bit more careful.
