- Seems like these days Snoop cares more about getting paid than anything else.
- It’s feeling more and more like Snoop sold out. But we’re also starting to better understand the circumstances that led to this.
- Snoop's more than paid his dues. Now it's time to cash out.
- It's business, never personal.
- His new motto might as well be "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense."
Snoop Dogg is more focused on making money than making friends as of late.
He’s found himself getting fact-checked by Spotify over claims that he allegedly received less than $45,000 in royalties after hit one billion streams on the platform. Snoop also said straight up, “I don’t [mess] with Spotify anymore. I’m only on Tune.FM” a company he just announced a partnership with. A spokesperson for Spotify tells TMZ, “$45,000 for a billion streams? It’s well documented that a billion streams on Spotify generates millions of dollars to rights holders. It’s unfortunate to hear that Spotify’s payments didn’t make it through to Snoop... Snoop’s a legend, and hopefully now that he owns Death Row Records, he’s seeing more of that money.”
And then there’s actor and the host of the reality competition series The Traitors, Alan Cumming. Cumming recently said that Snoop Dogg is one celebrity that he wouldn’t want on a future season of the shw, citing his recent decision to perform at the Crypto Ball as part of Trump’s inauguration.
